Providing Multiple Home Windows the Treatments They Deserve

Inside some ways, house windows are like children on a sugar high. One on one, they're manageable, but get them in groupings and all bets are off. And in both cases, dressing them properly can be a challenge.

There are a number of benefits to employing multiple home windows. They are a great way to add visual interest to a room, give a variety of views or boost the natural illumination for a given area. But as with any design element, when you raise the quantity, you also add to the problem.

By no means though is the challenge insurmountable. With a few simple techniques, you can use an assortment of house windows in close proximity without disrupting the room's overall circulation. It's simply a matter of pairing the right treatment with the right home house windows and enjoying the results.

Playing Matchmaker

Incorporating several home windows in one room can be difficult in itself, but it's even harder when those windows differ in size. One solution is to hang woven roller shades, as they're available in various widths. So however mismatched fenster the dimensions of your home windows may be, they'll have a smooth, cohesive look as they share the same treatment. If the look is somewhat everyday for you, try adding luxurious tailored panels for a little class.

Mix it Up, Dress it Straight down

Strange as this might sound, there are times when consistency is overrated. If you have a formally embellished room with patterned wall space, those same roller colors on home windows can strike a good balance. While they keep the surroundings from seeming too rigid, they also break up that pattern in a subtle yet effective manner. This is one time when your designer will be "down' with mixing it up.

Simply Spectacular

When camouflage can shield you in battle, why aren't it protect you from other invaders like the overly picky dinner guest? When working with different sized home windows, you can conceal the disparity with floor to ceiling windows and window cut edges that overlap. Don't think than it as covering, though. It's only a form of window "make-up" that gives you the upper hand when you want to put your best feet forward.

Addition by Subtraction

Sometimes, putting treatments on multiple windows is like adding lipstick to the Hireling shepherd. Quit while most likely ahead. If your home house windows have a unique architectural feature or something about their design that really stands out, be sure to let them be the stars rather than playing a supporting role. You may even want to use a color for their frames that is a clear contrast to the walls and molding to make this decorative statement even more emphatic.

Making Bamboo Function for You

Sun porches present their own dilemma when it comes to home windows. As the name implies, they're exactly about enabling in the sunlight, but how do you do it without putting yourself squarely in the spotlight? Bamboo blinds can achieve that delicate balancing take action, letting in limited sums of light while blocking enough to preserve your privacy. That way you can easily still be swimming in sunshine and not feel like you're moving into a fishbowl.

If one windows is good, two can be even better. An individual just need to consider intentionally about it, considering the size and form of your home windows, the space they occupy and the effect you're seeking to achieve. Then stay back and enjoy the view. Done properly, the look can be downright intoxicating.
